ALTA DIAGONAL, located on the famous Avinguda Diagonal in Barcelona, is one of the city’s iconic buildings since it was one of the visionary architectural works of Josep Ma. Fargas (Arquitectura Tous i Fargas), which brought together opposing concepts such as the mountains and the sea, hubbub and serenity, business and lifestyle.

In 2012, over 20 years after it was opened, the building was completely remodelled by the renowned architect Jordi Badia (BAAS), who followed the proposal in the original design.

The building has an overall surface area of approximately 28,500 m2, split across the entrance, offices, conference halls, a café and the garden.

The sign design firm, Clase BCN, was commissioned to create a new identity and signage for this modern and iconic building and entrusted ESSA PUNT to produce various elements, such as the directories for the main entrance in aluminium, which we manufactured with an innovative plate changing system.

Similarly, we also created signs with separate letters in stainless satin steel, sticking to the demure and elegant lettering established for this building.

In terms of the signage for ALTA DIAGONAL, which followed the modulation of the architectural elements to blend smoothly into the building, we used sheets of stainless steel and applied screen-printed signage on every floor of the building.
